Words matter: The term is sexually transmitted disease. It doesn't mean casual contact. It means genital to genital contact or some variation thereof. These germs are generally not like simple staff or strep germs that get on things in the environment &amp; are passed at random. The germs have specific living requirements that mean they die readily after they leave their preferred tissues.

Lactic acid build up: Lactic acid builds up in muscle tissue with hard or long exercise
and causes soreness.  Time, rest and hydration is the cure.

Accepted Answer

Partly: Soreness or pain is general indicator from the body that something is amiss with the organ and needs attention.  Accumulation of Lactic Acid due to prolonged anaerobic metabolism by the muscle is part of the cause of soreness.

Too long: that may be too long for an expected recovery and you might benefit from chiropractic or osteopathic manipulation

Yes in my opinion: I think it is a great idea to alternate muscle groups in the course of a fitness program. The soreness is likely attributable to anaerobic metabolism or Lactic Acid buildup. If it does not resolve within a few days, it could be due to injury. In the meantime i see no contraindications to aerobic or lower body workouts performed in a reasonable fashion.

Depends on injury:  it is always wise to be certain whatever injury you have before you think about exercising through it. Your physician can help clarify what type of injury you have and whether it's safe to continue to exercise or whether you should hesitate and let things heal

i just started doing pe after my lazy 2 months summer break. and how do i deal with sore muscles? i have to run every 1 day in 1 week. im not a pe guy

As long as your doc: says you are fit to do PE don't worry.  The normal response to exercise is tearing of muscle fibers and their regrowth, which builds muscle.  We also produce lactic acid when we exercise which can burn.  Make sure to cool down after PE or walk briskly for about 10 minutes after school to pump out lactic acid.  Lots of water too.  Overall, you will be healthier in mind &amp; body.Peace and good health.

Time: It will just take time to calm down but you can take tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen if you would like to calm the pain down.

Can be a stitch: This can be a stitich in the muscle about and  below the rib cage. You can try ice  or heat to the are. Consider it a pulled  muscle

Neck: Could be muscle spasm, a nerve pain from the neck nerves, muscle inflammation. Start with warm compresses every three to four hours, restrict exercise or lifting, but do check it out with your doctor
