why do you get a lot of different infections while pregnant? tired of taking antibiotics for these infections i never got before.

The immune system...: ...is naturally suppressed during pregnancy (so you can tolerate and not reject the "foreign" baby and placenta in there), often with increased chance of colds and skin infections. Hormonal changes also can affect susceptibility to urinary tract and vaginal infections. Discuss with your obstetrician if infections seem especially severe or frequent of if you remain concerned.

Need diagnosis: The gold standard for a diagnosis of rhino-sinusitis is a cat scan.  As I have stated many times on health tap, viral infection predominates as a cause of a runny nose leading to a sinus infection.  So, without a culture to document the presence of pathogenic bacteria, your diagnosis is questionable.  Your symptoms are classical for an upper respiratory viral infection.  Antibiotic may not help.

Yes: Some antibiotics can sometimes cause a feeling of fatigue. Of course, the infection for which you are receiving the antibiotic could also be the cause.

Don't guess ...: The best answer is to take a pregnancy test you can buy at your local pharmacy.  As a precaution you might as well stop smoking right now- it's bad not only to you but also to the baby if you're pregnant.

i am currently 4 days late. i was taking antibiotics for bronchitis. can they cause me to be late. i have nausea, headaches, im tired/sleepy, cramps.

Pregnant?: You can get home pregnancy test kits from your local pharmacy.  Any illness like bronchitis (for which antibiotics are generally useless) can alter the menstrual cycle, so you may be late on that basis.

CRP better 4 infect.: The CRP is more specific 4 infection. One would expect ur ESR 2 b high after any surgical procedure. Also were there cultures taken @ the end of the procedure? If ur not better after 2 wks u may need a new antibiotic.

Not the cause: Azithromycin, the active ingredient in Z-pak, doesn&#x27;t cause such symptoms. Also, it&#x27;s very long acting; azithromycin will be in your system for the next several days just from the doses already taken. Skipping the remaining doses won&#x27;t make any difference even if azithromycin is the cause. Keep taking itt unless the doc who prescribed it says otherwise.

can you take your 1st covid19 vaccine if you are currently suffering from any of these - sinus infection pharyngitis/laryngitis/any upper respiratory tract infection fever or general malaise/fatigue taking antibiotics or recovering from any of these?

: Have a COVID 19 screening test, stay isolated if positive. The vaccine may be indicated in 90 days if positive. If test negative, the vaccine is indicated. Since one of the side effects is fever, a short delay until you have no fever is fine. Rinse nasal passages w sallne. Monitor temperature and rest.

YES: If you have an apical absess building up pressure in your tooth root you may need a root canal.
