No!: Stop all rigorous exercise during pregnancy! safe options include brisk walking (not jogging), treadmill, stationary bike, swimming in pool. Horseback riding is not a safe activity during pregnancy!

Rule out DVT: I'm glad you mention that because you need to go in and have it checked out. You may have a muscle strain but the most important thing to rule out is deep vein thrombosis, or DVT. DVT is a very dangerous condition if not diagnosed and treated promptly. The diagnosis is confirmed by using a doppler machine to look at the veins in your calf. I recommend you do this right away please. Good luck.

Dehydration: Most commonly pesky charlie horses occur during sleeping hours and frequently wake people from sleep.  Drink plenty of water and keep a glass at the bedside for just such an occasion.  Some people also swear by supplementing their calcium and magnesium which are very important in the chemical precess involved with muscle spasms.

To ER: Don't be scared, be smart. Go to an emergency room and get checked out. That way you'll know and be able to enjoy your pregnancy in peace.

Supplements: Calf muscle cramps are usually caused by an imbalance in Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphate levels in the body. During pregnancy this can be worsened. First, take a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If negative, then taking a supplement containing Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphate daily will help alleviate the cramps.

while you are pregnat is it easier for you to have more sore throat  more frequently i'am in my first trimester and i have been having a lot of sore throats n hoarseness in my voice for weeks now is this something serious

Infections : Infections of this type are not more common in pregnancy. It may be that you had been exposed to someone with an infection recently. Check with your OB if you do not improve over the next week or two. Sometimes it takes a while (several weeks)  for hoarseness to improve after a viral infection. I hope you don't smoke since that can slow healing and be bad for the baby.
