What&#x27;s on an anus...: Anuses always have poop, regardless of whether the poop is visible or not. Poop is full of fascinating germs, such as hepatitis viruses, rotavirus, norovirus, enteroviruses; plus bacteria such as Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, E. coli; not to forget worms and other parasites such as Giardia, pinworms, etc... Life can be full of surprises, so just keep in mind the risk-benefit analysis.

: theoretically organisms from a dog's tongue licking the area can enter the urinary tube and cause infection but the chances of that are very remote. I would suggest you go to a free or charity clinic closest to you and get examined and have urine tested. In the meantime drink more fluids and try sitting in a warm tub to relieve discomfort. If things get worse go to the ER . You'll be OK

Unlikely: This is a sexual perversion but indulged in by some.  Dog saliva is actually less infective than human saliva; dogs generally have clean mouths.  You might rarely get an odd infection but std's are species specific and so you could not get this from such behaviour.

Possibly: You probably will not contract any stds from licking used panties.  If the panties have just been removed, and the woman had an active herpes infection with weeping lesions, then i guess you could possibly contract it to your mouth that way. Same goes for licking a lollipop that was just inserted in to the vagina-there is a remote possibility of contracting herpes , maybe warts.  Rare though.

: A dogs' mouth has less germs in it than most other animals, including humans. I doubt they would give you herpes, that is a human-to-human contact disease. I would not blame the dog but move on to consider other possibilities.
