i have about twelve cavities. most of which are gum line. the gap between the gum and the tooth is quite large. is this typically something that can be fixed, or would it most likely require the tooth/teeth to be pulled?

Yes. : Twelve cavities are alot. Most cervical caries at gum line can be fixed. A tooth colored bonded resin filling will look good, may help to close gaps, and can last for years with a better care and improved diet. However some of your problems might be related to gum disease which if not treated may lead to tooth loss. Ask your dentist.

Probably a bruise: A dark spot on the gum appearing shortly after dental work may be due to an "bruise" of the gum.  A spontaneous dark area on the gum, or a dark spot after dental work which does not go away within a few weeks should be investigated by a doctor.  RARELY, melanoma or other cancers can appear this way.

: Put down the computer. Pick up your phone. Call your Dentist immediately! Cavities are infections that gradually spread through circulatory system to other organ systems. There is no magic product, poultice, pill, app, video, OTC, mouthwash, or as-seen-on-TV that will cure dental infections.  The longer you delay, the bigger the infection gets, the more treatment costs.

lower premolar and surrounding gums pain. nothing shows on x-ray. no pain when biting, no cavities. it's shocking painful when i slide my tongue on it?

   Sounds like gingival tissue may be inflamed. Upon brushing and flossing is the gingival tissue tender? Is there bleeding? When performing home care how comfortable are you? Hard to give you more informative answer-- have DDS or hygienist  revisit tender gums!

Not really: I am unaware that transplant recipients who take immunosuppressive drugs including tacrolimus will have trouble with dental hygiene; as long as you listen to your dentist and brush and floss your teeth as instructed, and get timely examinations.

there were a couple of nights recently where i didn't brush my teeth before bed.normally have great dental habits but i was away.have receding gums.were those events enough to give me cavities at root?or takes more than that?

throbbing in the back of my gums, occurs 2-3 times a day. been to a general exam, also had routine cleaning trying to find cause. they said theres no cavities there, just mild gum inflammation. i floss once a day, brush twice. should i be worried?

: If your dental checkup is OK then there is nothing serious. Mild gum infection or food particles may cause your symptoms. If you can brush after every meal and try Sensodyne  toothpaste. Good luck.

i just started havin severe pain in my upper teeth/gums, also bottom left side. (l) side of neck feels weird, pain comes and goes in teeth.  had yearly check up, no cavities. soon as i eat anything the pain is excruciating. any ideas?

Specialist: There are other reasons for tooth pain and sensitivity other than a simple cavity. Your symptoms are worrisome. I recommend consulting an oral surgeon for thorough investigation. Appropriate testing will be done.

Systemic disease: It sounds like you may have something that may be more than a tooth problem.  I would suggest seeing a physician and possibly a dentist who specializes in oral medicine for an evaluation.
