is occasional tiniest amount of mucus in stool normal? i likely have ibs-c as per my doctor. constipation fixed with water and fiber. i finally go more then i ever have in years.still notice odd piece of mucus(or undigested food) i'm not sure. normal?

: A small amount of mucous in the stool is not unusual and can be seen with normal bowel movements. It can also be a sign off inflammation, which may be present with chronic constipation. Sounds like the treatment is helping. GI can certainly help with this treatment. Good luck!

have been eatting many fatty foods so now i am constipated and have been for quite sometime. could this cause excess mucus stool?

It usually doesn't: It would be a good idea to cut back on the fatty foods and add fiber to your diet, to improve the constipation, though. Fruits/veggies and whole grains.

Get checked: While the change in lifestyle and diet could explain the weight loss, mucus in stool is not  normal and I would see a doc and get some blood tests done and possibly a colonoscopy

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling poorly. I think this is a topic better discussed in depth with your primary physician. "Pseudo narrowing" is a little bit of an ambiguous term and requires some clarification from your doctor as to what exactly they mean when they say pseudo-narrowing. Further testing may be needed to determine if you have an actual stricture. Hope this helps.

Should be evaluated: There can be multiple reasons for mucous in the stool and further reasons why it is orange in color. Causes of mucous in the stool can range from benign to serious. More information would be needed, and you should have this evaluated. It may be irritation in the colon, a polyp, colon inflamation-colitis. Most of the time occasional mucous in the stool may be benign- but must be evaluated.

: Small intestine make a jelly like substance to keep large intestine or colon moist or lubricated. If you see mucus occasionally, it is ok. If you notice increase in mucus frequently or regularly, you should see your doctor. Dehydration and constipation are common causes hence increasing water intake and avoiding constipation can be done while awaiting visit with the doctor. Hope it helps.

Antibiotic effects: It's quite possible you're experiencing side effects from the antibiotics. Depending on how 'bad' your condition is now, will determine the best course of action. Azithromycin usually isn't 'that bad' in terms of causing diarrhea, but if you give us more info here -I think the Health Tap community can help. Diarrhea more than 3x a day is something I pay attention too. Chicken soup for now may help

is it possible for gallbladder removal to cause extra mucus in stool, including with solid stools too?

Cholecystectomy: Although it is certainly possible to develop a loose stools for a while after cholecystectomy, it is not usual to develop any mucus with the stool. Occasionally when someone receives antibiotics, however, they can develop an infection in the colon which can result in mucus in the stool. Otherwise, there is no reason to have excess mucus after gallbladder removal. Good luck.
