Not usually: Most heterochromia is congenital and changes very little.  If it does change, it will change slowly.  Rapidly changing heterochromia would be worrisome for melanoma.

Iris darker: iris nevus, diffuse iris nevus, ocular melanocytosis, hemosiderosis, retained intraocular foreign body, siderosis, ocular malignant melanoma; rarely leukemia, retinoblastoma, lymphoma and some fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis.
