Minipill use: It is preferred if you use a Progesterone only minipill for contraception that you are breast feeding every 2-4 hours to maintain its effectiveness.  If not, then switch to a combination ocp for best protection frm pregnancy if you are able to use this .  If you cannot use a combination ocp, then the Progesterone only pill is ok combined with backup contraception such as condoms.

Keep feeding/pumping: Sometimes warm compresses are helpful.  Any persistent lesion/change should be checked out asap.

: What you chose to feed your infant is up to you. I see no reason not to breast feed if that is your usual pattern after taking a vitamin A supplement.

: The time interval between Sinemet doses is incredibly short, and may present an administrative burden.  Separating out the rasagaline would make it even more difficult.  There is NO rationale to not take both together at same time.  Please contact your doctor and clarify all of this.

Depends: The general rule is if i would use it for a baby it is ok for use in a breast feeding mother. We exclude sulfa drugs in the first 2 months and drugs like Cipro (ciprofloxacin) that are not generally used in childhood.Just tell the doc you are breastfeeding and they should sort that out, or ask again when you know which one is being considered.

Not exactly: Breastmilk is notoriously low in iron, even if you take supplements. Similarly, although breastmilk is usually hight in calcium, the concentration of calcium in breastmilk is not really related to your calcium consumption. A nursing mother should have adequate intake of these nutrients to maintain her own stores, not to affect the milk's composition.

Lonart: It is recommended that Lonart not be used when breastfeeding.

: The symptoms are vague and common to several conditions. It would be wise to have her write down all the symptoms with a timeline and take that list to an office visit. There her doc can review the issues and do an exam and tests to sort out the problem(s). It could be minor and easily fixed or part of a worrisome condition needing immediate attention.

Continue w work-up: Have mom continue with her work up for her dysfunctional uterine bleeding.  Have her see a Gynecologist if she has not already, as they are specialists in the menstrual cycle and uterine issues.  Best wishes.
