Not usually: Avoid sharing makeup. Bacterial contamination may spread some forms of conjunctivitis (pink eye).

Accepted Answer

Yes.: Contact lenses, Intacts, which are plastic ring segments placed in the corneal stoma to support the weakened cornea and transplants are all viable options.

27f -nearsighted. wear glasses. how can i keep eye sight from worsening. any vitamins? also wondering if there are any dangers to wearing colored eye contacts! idk y i have a fear that they harm eyes over time. wat brand do u recommend. please adviz

Optometrist: You should discuss this with your optometrist.  There are many benefits wearing contact lenses, but some people just do not do well with them. On an open platform we, as medical professionals, cannot endorse certain brands.  Your optometrist will recommend what he/she thinks is best for you.

Carry on: Congratulations on 6/6 vision.  At your age it is possible that you might develop a very minor amount of near sightedness over the next 5-8 years but most likely you will preserve your 6/6 by doing nothing special.  The only thing you should do is protect your eyes when in any situation where they might become injured using safety glasses and proper caution.

only one of my eyes has bad eye sight. is this rare?

No: This is very common and is called amblyopia.  Eyes develop based on the ability to see, so if one of your eyes is not allowed to see well as a child it may never develop the connection to the brain that will allow it to see.  If you have vision only in one eye, it is very important to see an ophthalmologist if you have not been formally diagnosed as there are many treatable causes of vision loss.

might it be that a burnt cornea affect your eye sight?

Possibly: The answer to that question depends on the nature and severity of the burn. Corneal injuries near the center can affect vision, sometimes permanently. See your eye doctor or a cornea specialist for an examination.

Accepted Answer

Not likely: Is your eye sight not good from uncorrected vision that would be clear with proper glasses or contacts?  Or because of some disease process which needs treatment? Or is it some permanent process?  Best to have an ophthalmologist evaluate you and see if any of these are operative.  You cannot improve eyesight by so called "natural" means including exercises.

Dryness: The first lens in the eye is the tear film on the cornea.  If this is inadequate or not healthy then the vision will be blurred.  Try artificial tears for comfort and clarity and if this isn't sufficient, see your ophthalmologist for additional to rule out other problems.

No.: There are multiple reasons your eyesight could be getting weaker, but if it's happening so quickly that you notice a "day by day" worsening,  you need to see an ophthalmologist asap.   See a medical doctor, not an optometrist in an eye glass store.  Call someone now.  Good luck.

is there any food or drink to make my eyes back to normal sight i have 0.5 eye sight i want it back to 0 ?

No : There is no medicine or food that will return the eyes back to what they were. The measurement of 0.50 is very minimal, your vision should still be good, just a little blurry.
