See a physician: The main ingredient in Red Bull is caffeine.One can has 80 mg of caffeine, although in some countries it may contain more. Caffeine won't cause rectal bleeding, per say, although it may cause frequent bowel movements at high dose in some individuals, which could cause any internal hemorrhoids to bleed.***You should stop drinking it and see a physician to be sure nothing serious is causing bleeding

Energy Drinks: can be bad for your health. The caffeine may cause:  Possible side effects: nervousness, insomnia, restlessness, irritability feeling hyper, ringing in ears, rapid or irregular heart rate, nausea, vomiting, GI upset, shakiness, dizziness or allergic reaction. Can't say it the bleeding is associated with Red Bull ingestion. Do recommend medical eval and staying off the  Red Bull. Take care.

Pain and bleeding: Drinking too much is not a good idea.
Perhaps more important, at age 47 she should see a Gynecologist to make sure there is no issue with loosing  control of her periods!

Two questions: Red wines contain tannins which enhance taste.  There are about 50+ varietals.  Some people do not tolerate wines for various reasons.  Hard stools, if related to the wine are likely caused by dehydration.  Wine acts as a diuretic, causing you to urinate more, and because you are imbibing the wine you may reduce your water intake.  Of course, your stool issue may not have anything to do with wine.

does red wine cause migraines? i get migraines about once a month and have noticed that i've gotten a migraine twice after drinking red wine the night before. could this be why i'm getting the migraine?

Red : Red wine contains a substance called tyramine, also found in aged cheeses, and some processed meats.  It is a common trigger of migraine headaches.  There are also many other triggers of migraine headaches, so while i can't say whether the red wine is the cause, it is certainly a possibility.  There are many other food and behavioral triggers as well.  Speak to your doctor about other common triggers to avoid and treatment options for migraine headaches.

Some : Some foods and beverages that can cause heavy staining include: red wine, coffee, black teas, cherries, grape juice, blueberry juice, soy sauce, cranberry juice , balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce,  dark colas, popsicles  and curry. Foods with high acid content impact your teeth as well as tobacco (smoked or chewed).   Chicory is reported to cause a lot of darkening.

Black stools: Black stools are usually an indication that you are bleeding from higher up in the gastrointestinal tract. This meaning you may have an small bleeding ulcer. Some foods cause dark stools too. Might be wise to have a blood count done as well as check your stools for blood.

Yes..: Yes it could cause diarrhea but more importantly mixing drinks like this can be dangerous and 5 to 6 glasses a day seems to be excessive.  I would suggest she seek some help to stop.

No, test stool: Black tarry stool or melena is typically associated with blood from a proximal GI source. Ulcers in the stomach and vascular lesions can be types of causes. Wine itself and the pigment of the red grape do not change the color of the stool. Beets and other pigmented foods do alter the color. You should be tested for blood in the stool and possible anemia.
