Just live with it: Nonbacterial prostatitis usually is harmless, with no proved long term health consequences. An antibiotic like ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin often is tried in case of bacterial infection but usually doesn't help. Some experts believe sexual release is helpful. For sex isn't harmful either for patient or his parrtners, so don't hold back from sex or masturbation. No harm (or help) from exercise.

i've been on doxycycline for prostatis for 11 weeks . this helped. as soon as i came off them my prostatitis got worse. on dc again, symptoms improve.

Natural additions: You may know that prostatitis often is the result of an infection.  There is also enlarged prostate.  Your doc can tell you if you have both.  Ask him/her about addiing natural prostate supplements to your meds.  One product is prostathera but there are many that include such things as saw palmetto, etc.  Peace and good health.
