Yes.: Uncommon, but definitely can disrupt your menstrual cycle. It should not last longer than two cycles though!  it does not happen to most women.

Many reasons: A regular menstrual cycle doesn't preclude a woman or her partner from infertility. Many, many things can cause infertility without affecting menstrual cycle. To touch on just a few: female anatomical  issues, endometriosis, anovulatory cycles, etc.  Male partner may have low sperm count or low sperm motility. Fertility issues should be discussed first with ob. May need reproductive endo consult.

Monitor your cycles: Keep a menstrual diary and tract the start and end of your cycles. Your mediciations may be interferring with your cycle.

Midcycle: Ovulation usually happens at mid cycle, which is about 2 weeks before the onset of the next period.  That would be around day 14 with a 28 day cycle. Keep in mind the sperm can live in the cervical mucus for up to 3 days extending the fertile period.

why do i have a lupus flare during my menstrual cycle most of the time? also my p.o.t.s symptoms worsen during this time how can i help this?

Inflammation: Lupus and the pre-menstrual phase of the cycle are both known for being states of increased inflammation, so it makes sense that you might have this and notice it during your menstrual cycle.  I would speak with your rheumatologist regarding medications that are safe to take to diminish the flare symptoms, as some anti-inflammatories are harmful for kidneys.  Best of luck.

Confused: I am confused.   How is it that you had unprotected sex after just having had a abortion?   Do you want a baby or do you not want a baby?    At the age of 26 you are old enough to take responsibility for yourself around such issues.   Do seek help from your doctor.   There are birth control methods that last for up to several years if you don't want to have to think about it.

Need gyn eval: Is IUD still in place?  Have you had the same IUD in place that long?  If paragard or copper IUD these usually have to be removed &amp; replaced after 10 years.  If progesterone IUD, they need to be removed and changed each 5 years.  Best to see gyn to be sure no issues of infection or other cause of bleeding (polyps, fibroids, etc).  Best of luck with this. Anovluation: If you are not pregnant, then you have stopped ovulating. You will have to be tested and examined by your trusted physician to see why this has happened and what may be done to get you back to normal.

i dont know whether i am having my menstrual cycle or not. although i am due for one, i do not have any symptoms of it and it looks unusually watery. i am highly concerned?

Accepted Answer

: Symptoms and character of your menses can vary considerably, usually with no obvious cause. If you are having bleeding and you are due it is most likely a normal period. If you have reason to be concerned about pregnancy a home pregnancy test should be positive at this point.
