Wouldn't think so: Atalectasis is simply un-expanded areas of lung tissue. By itself it would not be expected to cause any symptoms, but this does occur in some conditions where symptoms like pain &amp; congestion will be present. In that respect it is an associated finding on x-ray but not the cause.

Congestion: Sharp chest pain on taking a deep breath along with cough and congestion may be seen in pneumonia, pleurisy or, at times, with bronchitis. Associated fever, chills, sweats, shortness of breath and wheezing are worrisome symptoms which warrant an examination and chest xray. Milder chest soreness can occur from coughing a lot. See your physician if you have further concerns.

Bronchitis: May be bacterial or viral. Robitussin dm (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) will relieve cough. I would generally recommend seeing a doctor and if bacterial antibiotics.This does not mean an otherwise healthy individual cannot heal. I can generally do it faster.

Yes and no: There is no active virus in the vaccine but in some people it "stimulates" a memory and they can develop serious flu like symptoms.   On occasion people with allergies to egg protein etc can have a reaction but it sounds to me like the former.  Another possibility is a coincidental viral infection but in my experience it is the  "memory"  explanation that often explains best this phenomenon.
