Not recommended: Clindamycin would probably work for a sinus infection, but it is best to take antibiotics under the direction of a doctor. Many docs have moved away from using clindamycin because of the real side effects associated with it, including C diff. I would first try other therapies for the sinusitis, and only take antibiotics as a last resort. Indeed, those are our national recommendations for treatment

Sinusitis: if you're sinusitis is caused by bacterial infection then Cleocin (clindamycin phosphate) for 10 days should clear it up if however it does not I would see if physician to get a definitive diagnosis

does clindamycin cause chest pain and chest tightness along with weakness.! i was prescribed it for a sinus infection. and i'm not liking the side eff?

Proof of sinus inf.: Stop clindamycin. You may be allergic to many antibiotics. Call your doctor.

: All of those can be taken together without negative interaction.

No: I would see your regular physician to have the other symptoms diagnosed. You may need to be on an other antibiotic. The tooth needs to be treated as soon as possible as well.

Still have sinusitis: Some sinus infections are more difficult to treat than others.  Many si's don't respond to anitbiotics because they are viral.  The roots of your back teeth are embedded in the bone just underneath you maxilary sinuses and inflamation and pressure from the the sinus often effects your teeth.   Sometimes, the bone in the floor of your sinuses swell causing one side of your bite to feel higher.

Need better Abic: Clindamycin is not the best choice for sinusitis.  The most frequent bacterial causes are streptococcus pneumoniae, hemophilus influenza, moraxella catarrhalis.  Other streptococcus sp., staphylococcus aureus and anaerobic bacteria are less common.  The Clindamycin would not cover hemophilus and moraxella.  Augmentin, Ceftin (cefuroxime) or levoquin would be better choices. Adding decongestants might help.

No medical basis: There i no fda approved medical use for oil of oregano. A number of web sites market it for various uses but you have no idea what you are getting in it as many of them come from china and there is no fda regulation or approval of them. Buyer be ware.
