Other potential causes include anovulation (no egg release), hormonal dysfunction, eating disorders, rigorous exercise, stress, thyroid or other hormonal dysfunction, systemic diseases (lupus, kidney disease, thyroid disease), and pcos to name a few. You should be evaluated by your doctor.

UNLIKELY: A missed period (amenorrhea) is usually caused by pregnancy--so this needs to be ruled out first. Other causes incude being underweight (as in heavy duty exercise). Kidney stones are caused by dehydration, excess calcium (too many tums-antacids) etc..  So the 2 problems probably not related.

Not if negative : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception.   If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by stress, weight gain/loss, thyroid problems, and uterine issues such as adenomyosis or fibroids. If the symptoms persist, talk to your Dr about your irregular periods and what testing can be done to determine the cause.

Do you mean...: You had sex a couple months ago, she has since had 2 normal periods, and is now late for her 3rd?  If this is what you mean, and you have not had sex since then, she's not pregnant, or at least it's very unlikely.  Women miss periods all the time . There are many reasons for a missed period - stress, polycystic ovarian syndrome, malnutrition - are a few possibilities.

There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Long list: Long list of what the problem might be.  Ectopic pregnancy, kidney stone, kidney infection, bladder infection just to name a few. Best to see your doctor for an evaluation.

Birth control pills: Yes - if you become pregnant while using the pill, most women will still miss their period/withdrawal bleed. If you are taking the placebo pills and not getting a period, you should take a pregnancy test.
