: Many visual side effects from these types of meds have been reported but that appear to be transient and more likely to occur in men taking big doses.

No. It is also a BRA: Ambien (zolpidem) is a  Benzodiazepine Receptor Agonist .Acts at the SAME receptor,  GABA, that Ativan &amp; Klonopin (benzodiazepines ) do.
ALL are addictive,with physiological dependence ,  rebound insomnia upon abrupt discontinuation as also serious " withdrawal symptoms" including but not limited to Seizures , insomnia and delirium .
 Let your doc taper you off Ambien (zolpidem) &amp; use TRAZODONE for insomnia .

Walmart/Target: Walmart and target sell thyroid medication for $4 a month. Even if it is a low dose, some thyroid replacement is better than none. If you can find a free clinic, you should also ask if the doctor can help you obtain the medicine at a reduced or no cost through a drug company. Many drug companies provide patient assistance. If you have internet access, look up www.Needymeds.Org for a list of meds.

No: Trouble with erections (like erectile dysfunction) does not happen to all men. Age is certainly a factor, older men are more likely to have erectile dysfunction. Other factors that may cause sexual dysfunction are: meds (anti-depressants, some BP meds) , smoking, psychological, diabetes, and many others.
Those who maintain overall health are less likely to have sexual dysfunction.
