Yes: Yes.  Celexa, known generically as citalopram is an ssri and does have a common adverse effect of somnolence.  Not all ssris have the same side effect profile, however, and you may find relief with another drug in this class of antidepressants.

It could go either : Way.  Increasing the dose might help, but may also make it worse. A different medicine may be the answer for you.

Talk Therapy!: While you search for a better antidepressant, definitely get involved in supportive talk therapy. The losses you've faced and your grief will not be resolved by drugs alone - they may not even be necessary. You need to work through your feelings which may be fairly normal and healthy. But, un-dealt with, they can fester leading to worse symptoms. Be picky, this therapist is one you need to trust.

Almost immedicately: The side effect is dose related and improves as soon as the blood levels drop which could be the next day.  Of course over time if the depression returns your libido could plummet.  Lexapro (escitalopram) may have less sexual dysfunction than Celexa.  Young men who are anorgasmic on low doses of SSRI, I wonder about Bipolar disorder and would consider Lamictal as alternate rx

Yup: Sweating is a common side effect of taking celexa (citalopram). The reaction being described seems more severe than usual but it can happen. Not having had this symptom before taking Celexa (citalopram) would make it even more likely that it was due to the celexa (citalopram). If it goes away after stopping Celexa (citalopram) that would also confirm that it is the side effect. Discussion about a replacement medication with your doctor is in order.

Some of the time: You should not use Serlatine if you use Pimozide,  You should not use Serlatine if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the last 40 days.  These include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.  
It is not approved for treating children who are less than 18 years old.
