Try reglan (metoclopramide): Let the baby use you as a pacifier, that might help, ask your doctor to prescribe reglan (metoclopramide).

took hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) for two days. breast milk supply has immediately, drastically reduced. will my supply come back if i stop the medicine?

Unknown: Diuretics or "water pills" should not directly affect your breast milk production...But if it is dehydrating you, i suppose that it could.

Talk to your doc about stopping it and/or really increasing your fluid intake and see if that helps.

how common is it for milk to come back in? i stooped breast feeding two months ago and my milk came back in this past weekend? should i be worried?

Quite common!: Milk production can continue in the breast for a few months, occasionally uo to a year, in a woman who has recently stopped breastfeeding.  The production may increase during times of breast stimulation and even arousal.  You should notice that the amount being produced should diminish with time.  If no improvement in a few months, see your ob/ gyn.

Is Not Safe: Re-use of bottled breast milk from a prior feeding is not considered a safe practice. There is risk of bacterial contamination with serious consequences in babies. Additionally, deterioration of beneficial nutrients occurs. To eliminate waste, add to bottle normal amount of milk your baby consumes plus 1-2 oz extra to allow for increase in appetite as baby grows &amp; day-to-day hunger patterns.

Breast milk: stop: If you are certain about stopping breast feeding, ask your OB provider about "bromergotcryptine" which will stop prolactin production in the pituitary, and your breast milk will cease being produced.  No over the counter medications will affect milk production effectively.

See below: Alimentum, neocate and pregestimil are known as elemental formulas-indicated for milk protein allergies.  Other than breast, they are the mainstream choices.  They are expensive and taste is usually hands down terrible. Try to pump and save your breast milk. If in short supply, you may mix the formula w/breast milk to allow gradual adaptation to the formula.
