ABCDEFG danger signs: Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Colour variation, Diameter &gt;6 mm, Elevated, Firm, Growing progressively for a month or more.
See dermatologist with any of these changes.

See doctor: If a mole becomes larger, irregular, nodular, ulcerates or bleed, have it checked out by a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Do not grow: Benign moles do not grow. If a mole and become larger, irregular, changes in color, becomes nodular or bleeds, see a doctor to have it evaluated and may be removed.

Grow to a size.: If you have mole or moles, you may watch and wait. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

Wrong question: Whether it grows, how fast it grows, how large it gets are all so variable there is no meaningful answer to this question. If you are worried, see a dermatologist. We are looking for changing nevi, black or multicolored nevi, those with very irregular shapes, those that bleed.

Get is excised: A mole can recur which is probably the case with you right now. But it can also be a melanoma. I would recommend you going to a surgeon and get this mole completely re-excised and examined by a pathologist so that you will be able to get a formal pathology report just to be sure that you do not have a melanoma which has been treated as a mole, first time around.

No, yes: You suffer from anxiety. Skin cancers are rare at age 21.While some are serious, the great majority are not life-threatening. Most of the very serious skin cancers, melanomas in particular, are flat. If you have a spot on your skin that concerns you, see s dermatologist.

Yes but not usual: When a mole (or nevus) is shaved, frequently the depth of the shave is not deep enough to remove all of the melanin or pigment producing cells. This is why the lesion grows back. If instead, a full thickness excision is done, all of the involved skin is removed and the lesion will not re-grow.

biopsy shows spitz nevus cells under another type of benign mole. melenoma can't be ruled out yet. can melanoma grow under a benign mole?

Yes: In fact, this is fairly common. No one knows where spitz nevus leaves off and a melanoma capable of metastasizing begins. This is one of the hardest calls in pathology, and some say it's impossible. The burning question will be whether to do additional surgery.
