No: The type of bleeding associated with birth control is the same as regular menses. The amount &amp; duration may be defferent. It does not have any significant effect on the hymen.

Unlikely: It sounds very possible that you could have torn either the hymen or other tissue with the brush, which could definitely cause some bleeding , but that should not affect your period in any way

No.: Vaginal bleeding cannot cause enough force to disrupt an intact hymen. Vaginal intercourse, on the other hand, will. Why are you taking i pill?  The i pill is an emergency contraceptive for unprotected sex. If you desire a pill to regulate your periods and offer birth control, speak with your doctor about other pills available.

Hymen: If it's completely intact,  there really might not be a way for blood out.   Sometimes it can sit within the vagina, which may lead to blood clots and infection.   This is definitely one to discuss with your gynecologist.

Difficult to predict: 30% of women who have never had intercourse do not bleed on first penetration. An unknown number who have had intercourse 1-3 times may bleed at subsequent penetrations. Confusing, I know, but there is no way to predict who will and won't bleed. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

This is normal: It is not normal to bleed after sex unless there is some type of laceration, vaginal abrasions (sometimes from inadequate lubrication), vaginal infection (than makes the vaginal or cervical lining more susceptible to bleeding), etc. Even if this is your first time your hymen may stretch and not tear to produce bleeding. There may be many different reasons for not enjoying sex. Discuss with doctor.

Hymenectomy: Like any surgery, there is a risk of scar formation, however, when done right, the risks are small. The benefit of the surgery is to open the hymenal ring to allow your menstrual bleeding to emerge unobstructed. The procedure is fairly quick and recovery is swift if you are a healthy person

Depends: Sometimes the hymen tears during childhood due to certain non-sexual activities; this may present as slight spotting. During first sex/intercourse, due to more forceful hymenal separation, hymenal tears may present with slight bleeding. Every case is different and depends on the thickness and integrity of the hymen before it was affected. Not all virgins bleed with sex.

Bleeding is brief: Bleeding from a little hymen tear stops by itself in minutes to maybe an hour, just like bleeding stops if one were to bite the inside of her mouth while playing sports. She won't know if her hymen broke unless she is good at examining hymens. In the U.S., women and girls may be judged by their happiness, friendliness, and many other wonderful traits, but not by the condition of their hymens.

Right away: A hymen doesn't always bleed from first intercourse, but if it does, it will be right away.  It might be possible for it to take a couple days, but i've never heard of it.
