Kind of, yes!: Birth control pills can cause vaginal dryness.  They suppress the body's fluctuation of hormones and the newer, low doses of estrogen and Progesterone in pills don't reach concentrations high enough to compensate for this vaginal dryness.  The liver (while metabolizing ocp) can produce binding proteins that decrease hormone levels.  Overall, i recommend ocps and we treat the dryness. Try nuvaring?

Best to treast: Most doctors, especially if you are preterm, would wish to treat the BV to help prevent preterm birth.  If you were to have BV during delivery it wouldn't likely cause any harm (so long as not group beta streptococcus which is something your doctor likely tested/will test you for at 35-36 weeks).  Bv is typically normal vaginal flora (bacteria) that's grown out of proportion to the lactobaccili.

No: This does not occur.  The baby is exposed to vaginal bacteria, though, and this is part of the reason for an eye antibiotic that they get after the birth.

It should have been : Gone months ago, please see your gyn or another gyn forvaginal cultures for many different bacteria as you may have a less common type, and an ultrasound to make sure you do not have a problem with the endometrium that could be causing it.

A few more days: If you are taking the vaginal metronidazole, you're going to continue to have that white clumpy discharge for a few days after you stop the vaginal suppository.

Get test: give swab specimen to your MD/Urologist to check and you dont have to be seen to get medicine for it

See you doctor: typically, bacterial vaginosis patients complain of a thin, watery, foul smelling discharge. If you have or had burning, then you might have a different diagnosis. You need to see your doctor again.
