Best to treast: Most doctors, especially if you are preterm, would wish to treat the BV to help prevent preterm birth. If you were to have BV during delivery it wouldn't likely cause any harm (so long as not group beta streptococcus which is something your doctor likely tested/will test you for at 35-36 weeks). Bv is typically normal vaginal flora (bacteria) that's grown out of proportion to the lactobaccili.
