It's really not: the chicken or the egg because even minor deficiencies of vitamin B-12 can cause anemia, fatigue, shortness of breath and weakness. ... B-12 deficiency can cause decreased appetite, constipation, diarrhea or alternating constipation/diarrhea, weight loss and abdominal pain.  Constipation is a minor player if at all.

i had b12 shots 3 of them once a week ( 1month ago) but the symptoms have come back with added symptoms like nasaeu , constipation , cold feet constipation stomach cramps . are these related ? do i need more b12 shots

Need blood test.: You'd really need a blood test for B12 and methylmalonic acid to see if you're still B12 deficient.  If you're not, then I'm not sure your symptoms would be helped by more B12.  In that context, there may be another reason for your symptoms.

if a person remains frequently constipated and takes b complex supplement . will constipation lead to poor absorption of vitamins like b12, b6 ,b3, zinc etc from pill? to what degree/extent is the absorption compromised? percentages?

Depends on severity: In general, constipation does not interfere with nutrient absorption. A constipated person wants to figure out the cause. If constipation is due to slow movement of food and poop through the gut, then the things people try are vegetables, water, prune juice, prunes, fiber with water, Miralax, (polyethylene glycol) Senokot or other senna, milk of magnesia, etc...  One's doctor can help.

do you recommended taking some vitamins such as coq10, vitamin e, c, b12, k2,d3, and probiotics and laxatives for constipation in parkinson?
also is sun exposure dangerous in pd in terms of increasing free radicals in body or is it good for vit d?thx

Accepted Answer

All except laxatives: are fine, though there is not much evidence that vit E is helpful.  Except Exercise!  That is apparently emerging as one of the most helpful things you can do for PD AND the good news for you is it also helps constipation.
You should of course drink LOTS of fluids and eat fruits, veg, and fiber.  If you must take a laxative, use a fiber laxative.  Good luck!

Supplement too high: High B12 level can be related to taking too much B12 supplements; most of time excess is excreted because being water soluble vitamin.In rare cases, excess B12 supplementation may cause numbness or tingling in the arm, hands and face. 
Excess vitamin B12 may contribute to anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, insomnia, worsen hyperthyroidism, rashes.

LAB ERROR: A serum level is not an accurate measurement for b12, which the body can store for up to several in the tissues. Local labs can usually only give us relatively accurate nutritional information about vitamin d and iron. A specialty lab must be used to measure sources other than serum, such as lymphocytic wbcs. Regardless, a high B12 in serum most likely indicates recent exposure or supplementation.

Poor nutrition and: Vitamin B12  comes form nutrition - legumes, meat, vegetable.. and Vitamin D comes form sun exposure.Some rare conditions prevent absorption of vitamin B12 in stomach ( Pernicious anemia) or some surgical stomach procedures ( bariatric surgery) . it is recommended to avoid sun exposure due to risk of skin cancer and take Vit D supplement daily .Balanced nutrition is the key. if concern see Doc.

Accepted Answer

Yes: It may be rare but it does cause it and that is why the injectable form is usually avoided as the oral form can cause allergies first as in allergies to certain food and can easily be avoided as a consequence.

Supplements?: B12 is minimally increased-diet or supplement can do; not a problem. Ptt slightly up can be due to diet: dark green leafy veg sources and/or supplement. (assuming general good health).
