Make sure you are eating a balanced diet, drink water, excersize & take time to take care of yourself - read, relax, have fun, take a quick nap, get a massage. If this is an on-going problem see your md or a counselor to learn to control the stress or possibly get short-term relief with medication.

Sweating & Stress: Best way is to work on your stress.  What are you sensitive to?  What seems to trigger it?  How do you respond?  Psychotherapy can help you explore these areas and learn to deal with them so that your body won't have to go into sympathetic overdrive (with sweating).  See your family doctor to look @ overall health.  If needed, certain medications can help also.  Relaxation exercises on your own.

The treatment depends on the cause, although there are generic things that can be done to reduce it no matter what the cause is.  You need to start with your health care provider and get a complete history and physical. Following that, further testing may be required. A dermatology referral may help.

Yes: It's important to distinguish between acute and chronic stress.  Acute stress enhances immune response. Not likely to cause cold sores.  Chronic stress can impair the immune system and make us more vulnerable to infections like herpes Or to reactivation of herpes.  Sweats can be caused by stress.  But night sweats can be something serious. It's worth seeing a doc and reporting the night sweats.
