Can extreme stress cause cold sores and night sweats?

Yes: It's important to distinguish between acute and chronic stress. Acute stress enhances immune response. Not likely to cause cold sores. Chronic stress can impair the immune system and make us more vulnerable to infections like herpes Or to reactivation of herpes. Sweats can be caused by stress. But night sweats can be something serious. It's worth seeing a doc and reporting the night sweats.

Stress: Stress can be a trigger for cold sores. I am not sure about the night sweats.
