can a yeast infection cause nausea, malaise & lower abdominal discomfort on top of the vaginal itching & discomfort? there's no frequency, burning during urination, or foul smell, so i assume it's not a uti...?

: Vaginal fungal infection with Candida (candidiasis) rarely causes systemic symptoms such as nausea and malaise. The typical symptoms and signs are vaginal itching and burning along with vaginal redness with cheesy discharge.

Something else: Yeast infection, limited to the vulva and vagina, is not likely to cause back pain.  You may have an associated uti, but the history you provide is too sparse and you also need to be examined.   See a doctor soon, and hope you are better in a short time thereafter.

i have been diagnosed with vaginal yeast infection .. does it causes  lower pelvic pain and pain with sex? pain in sex for almost a year ?

Not yeast: Vulvar yeast infections can cause local pain, i.e. the external genitals, which could be aggravated during sex. Yeast does not cause pelvic pain or internal pain during sex. Keep working with your gynecologist about this.  Good luck.

Get seen right away!: Back and/or lower abdominal pain with a vaginal discharge can me you have a serious infection in your lower abdomen that can involve your uterus and ovaries.  Please get checked right away. You may need strong antibiotics to treat the infection. A yeast infection would not cause back pain.

It : It would be very unusual for herpes or vaginal yeast infection to spread throughout the body.  Other medical issues, such as MRSA (methicillin resistant staph aureus), eczema, psoriasis, pityriasis, or other dermatological issues can cause a rash on the body.  Trying a mild anti-bacterial soap and mild lotion may be helpful, but if it is a worsening rash, or if the patient had fever or new symptoms, then the patient should be medically evaluated.

No: A UTI will not cause bumps.  A yeast infection will not either unless you scratch the area so much it becomes very irritated.   Macrobid would not cause bumps unless you were allergic to it.

It can: Symptoms of a yeast infection may include: burning, redness & itching of the vulva; burning with urination & vaginal intercourse & a clumpy, white, vaginal discharge with no odor. Sometimes the discharge isn’t apparent.

It could cause: Vaginal and vulvar irritation and burning but not pain inside the pelvis, if the pain is inside teh eplvis could be due to many different etiologies so see your gyn for a workup.
