Have it checked out.: Any type of lump that does not feel normal and hurts needs to get checked out by a physician.
This could be anything from an infection to possibly a tumor which needs attention early on.

ive always had this lump in my throat where a mans adams apple would be but im a women... why do i have this? i cant see it but when i put my head back or back to the side i can feel is is that a normal thing??

: Most women do not have a true Adam's apple.  Inflammation of the thyroid gland is a possible cause.of your  neck tenderness, although acute thyroiditis is usually accompanied by symptoms similar to an overactive thyroid as hormone excess is released by the inflamed thyroid. See your physician, an endocrinologist or an ENT specialist if neck pain,&amp;soreness,especially with systemic symptoms persist

Now, that's annoying: Since that feeling is near your Adam's apple (or in your case, your Eve's apple) it's probably not coming from your ear on that side. But it could be a cartilage near your apple. Best to have it examined by your regular doctor. Be sure to tell him/her if you have ever had trauma to that area.

Normal: The "adam's apple" is a protrusion of the thyroid cartilage and is normal. It is more prominent in men than in women.

Hyoid pain?: Under your adam's apple is a bone (and surrounding tissue) that can sometimes get twisted or pulled out of place and be tender.  The thyroid gland is also in that area, and can hurt when inflamed.  Things aren't supposed to hurt or feel stuck...But there are several different possibilities.  A visit to your doctor who can evaluate you more closely would be a very good idea.
