Mild discomfort: Depending on the complexity of the extraction you can experience some mild to moderate discomfort afterward. Once you are anesthetized you should not feel much pain or discomfort but you may feel pressure from the extraction. It is a good idea to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen 1 hour before your extraction to help with post op discomfort. If the tooth is already loose it should be quite easy on you.

Extraction site care: Of course the socket will be sore after extraction, usually peaking at 3 days after and this is normal. If the socket continues to increase in pain after 3 days,  you may have a 'dry socket' which is inflammation from bacterial growth. These tend to be worse at nighttime.  Make sure you irrigate the socket gently with warm salt water in an irrigating syringe to clear food particles.

Pain: If pain, you may have an infection and need antibiotics.  However you could have pain and not have an infection - this would be a tmj/muscle spasm.  Let you dentist see the area and then ask your question again with that information.

Jury still out: Jury still out on vaping.  Probably a health safety risk, especially if used as a nicotine delivery system.  It's not cool, not smart.  The longer you wait, the faster and better your wound healing.  Your decision whether you want to harm yourself or not.

Bleeding: Use a sterile gauze or a wet teabag held in place over the socket with gentle pressure for 45 minutes. Replace as necessary. Keep your head elevated rather than lying down. Refrain from physical activity. If that doesn't help you will need to call the dentist who extracted the tooth. If it is after hours, there should be a 24/7 emergency number. He\she is responsible for your aftercare.

Extractions: Since every case is different, why not ask the dentist who plans on extracting your tooth? Simply and in general: the dentist will numb the area with a local anesthetic, and then the  dentist takes the tooth out, your finished. Some cases are more difficult (as with broken down and\or impacted teeth). Then more time needed and larger fee involved.

Depends: It depends on how difficult the removal was. If it was impacted then discomfort may linger for awhile since surgery was required to remove it.

White in the socket: Normal healing.  Don't worry.  Continue to follow the instructions you received at the time of surgery.
