No: The sinuses can not directly cause 2 red spots on the tonsil, but the 2 red spots on the tonsil could represent a viral infection that may be associated with acute sinusitis.  See an ENT doctor to evaluate your problem.

Sinus infection: Sinus infections are isolated to the head and neck   they never involve the lower extremities unless there is a massive infection that involves the veins that drain the head and neck. In these cases the whole head and neck are swollen as the infection extends to the brachio-cephalic veins that drain into the superior vena cava near the heart. There would be other signs and symptoms.

? Related: If you truly have a bacterial sinus infection, one may speculate that severe post-nasal drip may lead to a sore throat. If your problem has been present for more than 10 days, you should ask your doctor to check your sinuses and throat just to be sure.

Can still happen: and can still be viral, not sure if you received any antibiotic treatment  in the first episode. Salt water gargles, saline nasal washes, rest and pain killers would help, if no improvement, you want to see your doctor for possible need of Rx meds, best wishes

See ENT ASAP: Yes, sinus infections may be unilateral.  Your symptoms are not normal. See an ENT specialist soon.  This is not likely to improve without treatment, and may get worse.

Face hurts: When was his last dental check-up? Assuming no bumps or bruises that you don't know about, I would suggest a visit to the dentist (Pedodonist or General Dentist who sees children of that age) and if the exam in negative, a visit to the Pediatrician. It doesn't sound like this is the type of situation that warrants an ER visit.

Neck Pain/Sinusitis: Sinus infection can cause neck pain, neck stiffness, myalgia (muscles pain) & headaches. Also it can cause swollen neck glands which can also be painful. 
Excessive phone use on itself is not related to pinky numbness, but around your "funny bone" located about your elbow, the ulnar nerve is located; it is vulnerable to compression at this location. Also pinched nerve in your neck can be a cause.
