Get checked: If you are being treated for a diagnosed infection and you are not getting better you need to contact your doctor.

Doubtful: Urinary tract infections rarely cause lymph node enlargement unless there is an unusual organism (bacterial, fungal, or viral), or may be seen in addition to (but not necessarily related to) other serious conditions that warrant additional evaluation.

Posterior neck: there are many lymph nodes through out the body. Neck is one of areas that has a lot of lymph nodes. Yes, lymph nodes can be swollen up as a reaction process  in different settings like  infection, inflammation, cancer, etc.

Usually benign : In a young person, most causes of swollen lymph nodes are infectious or reactive, therefore are benign.  Localized lymph node swelling is frequently due to localized infection.  Some infections can be serious however, such as tb.  Rarely cancer can present as enlarged nodes (lymphoma, hodgkin disease), so, a biopsy/removal and further lab analysis may be necessary to determine cause.

Complex: Not at all sure that all of these signs and symptoms are related.  Rather than trying to diagnose yourself you should choose a good pcp and stick with them.  Cannot advise treatment without a diagnosis and no diagnosis without history, physical and results of all lab tests.  Hope you get better soon.

No, it does not: If your groin nodes are enlarged it may  be more due to skin infections around the private parts including vaginal infections.

: Generalized lymph node enlargement would be an unusual presentation of fungal infections. At your age, infectious mononucleosis or bone marrow disorders are more likely causes. Autoimmune disease can be another cause. In any event, the patient with generalized lymphadenopathy should start with an evaluation by his/her physician. Appropriate testing&amp; possible referral to a specialist will follow.

can a gum and tooth infection cause swollen lymph nodes. is this even possible?

Yes.: Swelling of the gums and soft tissue around an infected tooth is common.  If there is a lot of inflammation, or the infection is not treated, the lymph nodes that drain the area of infection will enlarge as part of the immune response, just as would happen with other infections like a cold or strep throat.
