That you know of: but I would follow up with the doctor to see what this might be related to.  Or if the reading is accurate.  There is a difference on radiology readings between the words "possible" "probable" etc, you get the idea.

Concussion.: Aphasia would not be a typical symptom of a concussion.

Certainly: The optometrist might find a specific pattern of vision loss, or might generally notice some interactional problems such as speech difficulties.  But if there are acute issues such as trauma or abrupt changes, best place to evaluate, in this situation is the emergency room.

Head injury & skin: I am not sure what you mean by chill bumps . However, there is no connection between head injury and skin rash.

Accepted Answer

No, but....: I have known a few patients who had psychosis (schizophrenia is a type of psychotic disorder) from severe head trauma.  So it is possible to have psychotic symptoms from a head injury (probably not from a minor one), such as hallucinations, delusions, inappropriate affect, etc.  For practical purposes, it can look the same but is not technically schizophrenia.

could a head injury cause vision problems 2 1/2 months later?

Accepted Answer

Yes it can!: Brain injury symptoms usually fade within one month of injury. More severe injuries can take longer. Vision problems like blurriness or double vision sometimes occur. If you still have these problems, see an ophthalmologist first. If your eye is normal, then see a neurologist.

could it happen such that a head injury cause permanent anosmia?

Yes: This is not a common deficit after head injury. However it does occur and loss of smell is most commonly caused by trauma. It may be permanent.
