what if i can't get off morphine sr can i still have a baby? i shouldn't even be alive.. pain meds barely treat my pain. i know baby have withdrawals but 4 how long? cases where baby healthy?

Complex: Of course you can have a child, but approach to your addiction is multidisciplinary. Look for care at the major university, where your prenatal care can be coordinated with pain and addiction specialists.  Talk to your prescribing physician.

You can try..: Orajel is quite safe, but not terribly powerful medicine to help with pain. It won't hurt to try it. You are already on antibiotic and so should be ok. You can consider adding motrin/aleve. Also, consult your doc/dentist to see if it is appropriate to increase your pain medicine i.e. Taking two tylenol/codeine at once may provide better pain control. Good luck.

Xanax (alprazolam): Possible. Advise not to breast-feed while on xanax (alprazolam).

: Nicotine withdrawal symptoms in newborn is not that common. If you stop vaping at 37 weeks your baby will likely not experience withdrawal syndrome at full term.

i'm on morphine sr 30mg morning and evening back/neck pain 5yrs. i want to have kids someday what u suggest? can i stay on? or month before birth get off? withdrawal baby real bad or temporary?

Best to get of befor: It is best for the baby that you gradually come of the morphine before you get pregnant , use some other method of pain relief.You are 31 yrs and have been on morphine for 5 years and at some stage you need to come off it
the withdrawl symptoms for the baby can be severe and baby will need to go on meds for withdrawls 
and there are other effects like increased incidence of sids&other long term eff.

If you stop  less likely, though meth may be in meconium (stool)  quite a while after last use.  Mmeth  can have intrauterine effects.

Yes: As Methadone is a narcotic, a baby born to a mother who is using this will be born addicted to it.  These babies are born with neonatal abstinence syndrome.  Depending on the severity of symptoms that the baby exists the first few hours of life, treatments vary.  The majority of babies will be admitted to the nicu under close observation and will be started on medications to curb their withdrawal.

i am 27 weeks pregnant & addicted to heroin. if i stop using now will my baby still have withdrawals when she is born?
