Clarify question: Do you mean that she is congested, or that she had a study ( CT scan or MRI ) that showed " fluid in the sinus" (infants really don't have much in the way of sinuses anyway)? If congested for less than ten days, it is most likely just a cold, and there is nothing to do other than saline &amp; suction nose if difficulty feeding ( too much can irritate).  If other symptoms, she should see her doctor.

laying in bed, my 8 month old son kicked me in the side of the head. it hurt shorty. should i be worried? have to real hard blow to cause serious problems? went to dr yesterday, have sinus infection.

Possibly: It's unlikely a baby that size would have caused damage but if you are having any problems see your doctor for evaluation.

I see a few that do: Some kids seem to have specific patern illness that represents their size/vulnerabilities. Toddlers have frequent respiratory viruses & may have food allergies that also cause xs drainage & predispose kids to rhinosinusitis. After a few in toddlers i like to have food allergy testing.That is one area where diet change might decrease frequency.Avoiding smokers/perfumes/candles etc also helps.

i get sinus infection often and my doctor always tells me to take z-pack but i still get sinus infections like every 3 months. what should i do?

That's too much!: Antibiotics are not recommended for most cases of sinusitis. Taking a course of antibiotics ever 3 months is excessive.  Try a decongestant, and if necessary, see an ENT specialist.

See an ENT: You should see an ENT and have your sinuses directly visualized with a camera. They may find that you have a narrowing of the ostia (the opening of the sinus) or some other cause (like mucous, a cyst, etc.) additionally, they can look a lot more carefully at your ear and visualize any issues with the eardrum, the canal or the other structures. One stop for most of your issues.

See a doctor: Your post was cut off, but if you've had more infections recently, you should see your doctor and find out if there is an untreated infection. Perhaps the infections aren't clearing up all the way. Perhaps you are just getting exposed to more viruses since starting college. Only your doctor can help you figure it out.

Yes: Yes. An ENT doc can take a history, appropriate x-rays, and recommend treatment.

Yes: If you have a sinus infection that is inadequately treated, it can flare up again. It can also occur even with adequate treatment. If you have a vulnerability and exposure to an infectious agent, the infection will recur.

Yes: Allergens can produce migaines.  Also, the introduction of an allergen can produce swelling of the nasal passages and the openings from the nasal passages to your paranasal sinuses producing a sinus infection.

? Allergies: I'd bet you've developed some allergies that are either making you think it's a sinus infection or setting you up for one.
