hypertensive crisis response to medications (beta blockers, diuretics, calcium channel blockers, arbs, etc.) (lisinopril no problem though) & foods ( any vinegar, oats soy, cream of rice, agave. not allergy. what type of dr. should i see help?

: We need more details to address your concern. When I have a patient resistant to multiple blood pressure medications or not controlled on several medications, I look for secondary hypertension. This comes from training as an internist. I have worked with hypertension specialists who do the same.

is it neglect for a parent to not give a child milk? my daughter is 12 and resides primarily with her father. because of his wifes weird food habits she is not allowed to drink milk. only soy and she doesn't much of it. she wont take calcium as she can't

Accepted Answer

As : As long as she is healthy and growing, it would not be considered neglect.
You have to show that the other parent is causing harm.

Try to work out with a deal with the other person on how to increase intake of calcium.
There are some orange juice that are fortified with calcium !

can i take calcium 600 mg with vitamin d3 400 international units every day for depression and anxiety  for how long can i take it     ?

Need to monitor: Although that is actually not an uncommon formulation to find OTC for calcium supplements there is a theoretical risk of becoming hypercalcemic.  If not for the Vitamin D component (which is extremely low and probably won't do much to an individual's total serum levels) but for the calcium component which can become excessive with time. Talk to your doctor for occasional blood testing schedule.

Thyroid: It binds to soy in GI system and inhibits absorption. Better taken at least 1-2 hours before or over 2 hours after.

Kidney stones.: If the high calcium is due to parathyroid hormone kidney stones and bone loss may occur over time.  A diagnosis of the cause is necessary for proper treatment.

Different: They are different componenets of prevention of osteoporosis.
Follow your doctor's advice about how to take them.

do calcium supplements interfere with the absorption of some medications?

Accepted Answer

Yes.: They can significantly lower the amount of thyroid hormone that gets absorbed.  Because calcium is a positively charged ion, it can bind to any negatively charged chemical, including levothyroxine.  Spacing the thyroid hormone at least 2 hours from calcium (including antacids such as tums), iron, multi-vitamins, and certain other meds can help keep thyroid blood levels stable.

can i take advil with betahistine dihydroc16mg? is ther any medication to avoid with it? i usally take calcium magnesium daily. is that ok with it?

Ok with advil: I did not see interaction with advil. It is ok to use with advil. It is ok with Calcium-mag.

Drugs that may interact:
antihistamines or other beta2-agonists or monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

high blood calcium levels of 2.8 , they want to take the affected paratyphoid gland . is this necessary why cant i have medication to control it and avoid surgery.

They would have done: So if it is in your interest, surgery is the last resort, trust your treating team, 2nd opinion is your right, but not on this limited platform, best wishes

kidneywise is it advisable for me to use kre alkalyn   for fitness purposes, i have hypoparathyriodism and i use calcium medication daily?

Not advisable: Kre alkalyn and other creatine supplements can impaire kidney function, especially in people who might be susceptible.  Having hypoparathyroidism puts you at risk for kidney stones and kre alkalyn can increase your risk as well.
