Not as bad: Excess consumption of anything is not good, but the bad effects of alcohol for the most part outweigh any side effects from caffeine. Three to for servings of caffeine a day are not likely to cause significant harm in an otherwise healthy person.  Consult with your doctor for more specific information and recommendations based on your father's medical history.

100% non-alcohol?: If it is absolutely alcohol free - there's no problem. If it's merely low alcohol - there might be so be certain. Make sure no one you drink with doesn't understand how very important it is - sometimes friends just think you're being too careful and will try to pass one on you. Be clear about it and you'll be ok.

No: It will dilute the flavor.  The total intake of caffeine would be the same if you drink the whole cup- diluted or otherwise.

Green Tea: Green tea has lots of antioxidents in it and is good for you.  The fact that you re-use one tea bag helps prevent against excess caffeine.  If you find that your are becoming anxious or can't sleep well just drink hot water every other cup.  (you might also enjoy white tea.) peace and good health.

Restlessness, ^ heart rate, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, insomnia, ^ sweating, dizziness &amp; cardiac arrest. Possible side effects of caffeine: nervousness, insomnia, restlessness, irritability feeling hyper, ringing in ears, rapid or irregular heart rate, nausea, vomiting, GI upset, shakiness, dizziness or allergic reaction.

Hmmm...: What do you mean by anxiety?  In my way of thinking, caffeine (espcially in normal amounts) as a drug does not have the pharmacological property of causing ANXIETY.  However, EXCESS caffeine usage in an individual can, by a different number of ways (i.e. too much as in Energy drinks, withdrawal as in cutting back or sudden cold turkey) cause jitteriness, nervoussness, shakiness, etc.

Caffeine: If you meant ibs, as in irritable bowel syndrome, then caffeine in moderation should be ok. If in excess, it can exacerbate ibs symptoms.
