: My rule of thumb is if sciatica is still problematic after 6 weeks, i recommend an MRI of the lumbosacral spine and/ referral to a neurosurgeon for evaluation and treatment options.

Surgical wound: Patients can sometime develop skin infections in an 'old' surgical wound. I have seen cases of wound endometriosis that can cause pain and swelling in a cesarean section wound many years later. Have your surgeon or obgyn take a look at it.

Many reasons...: For example: You stop dilating;  the baby is too big to fit; the baby isn't getting enough oxygen from the Placenta; you get an infection; The placenta comes off the uterus and you start bleeding; you have herpes and you break out just before you go into labor, etc.  Best wishes!

Very abnormal: It is hard to answer this question without specifically looking at the wound in question.  After 6 months, the area should be completely closed.  You need to consult with a plastic surgeon if there is still an open wound.

Post C/S bleeding: The bleeding may be everything from a period to a non healed C/section repair. Contact your OB MD and let him/her know of your concerns.

C section: The labia majora shrinks back to its size before the pregnancy.  The C-section has nothing to do with it.

C-section Reasons: Preference is always a vaginal birth, however that is not always safe and possible. There are several medically-indicated reasons to give birth by c-section. Some reasons are : 1. gestational diabetic mother with baby EFW at 4500 grams, vasa previa, complete previa, cervical cancer, arrest of descent, active herpes simplex vulvovaginitis while in active labor, fetal malpresentation  and more.

It can be normal: It can be normal ,but keep an eye on your symptoms if they get worse you may need imaging
