Yes and No: Butt implants are safe but have a much higher complication rate than breast implants.  Choose your surgeon wisely.  Ask to speak to previous patients.  Check their board certification and don't go with someone with american board of cosmetic surgery.  It's not a recognized board in the United States.

Depends: Gluteal implants are safer than injected substances but not safer than fat transfers.   Butt injections are not approved in the unites states.  That means if you are getting them, it is by an unlicensed practitioner.  Every year in my area there are one or two deaths due to butt injections.

Yes: Yes to both your queries. See a plastic surgeon for a consultation, have realistic expectations, try out sitting on externally placed implants for a few hours and be aware of possible complications of surgery. In short, butt implants are not for everyone.

Define Beneficial: An implant may improve your appearance.  If you desire a larger buttocks then the result will benefit your self image.  However all surgery has risks and those risks must be weighed against the improvement of your self image and appearance.

Your own tissue.: Implants weren't there to start with, but your own cells were, so you can expect more problems from implants...Far more. I have had a wonderful experience with fat transfer to the buttocks, and very, very few complaints or problems. Furthermore the results do last, no matter what anyone says, and provide a natural shape, contour, and feel.

Butt implants: Buttock implants are extremely effective at accomplishing the goal of buttock augmentation, but lack of mobility is a big issue.  The implants have to be put in the muscle so it is quite uncomfortable.   Usually, it is very difficult to be very mobile for at least the first three weeks.

Depends: Really more information is needed because implants are very different in different places of the body. Usually most of them are quite durable to a simple fall.
