Neural irritation: There are several causes of low back pain and thigh pain.  Problems with the hip joint can often cause back/buttock pain that radiates to the groin and thigh.  Irriation to the lumbar nerve roots in the lower back can also cause leg pain.  Thigh pain is often seen with irritation to the l2, l3, and/or occasionally L4 nerve roots.

Back,leg symptoms: The combination of low back pain and neurological symptoms in the leg and vulva raises possibility of spinal cord or nerve root impingement by a herniated intervertebral disk low down in the spinal column. I recommend that you be evaluated by a neurosurgeon as soon as possible in view of the progressing symptoms to prevent serious neurological damage.

Radiating pain: The pain you describe sounds like you may have a nerve impingement syndrome like "sciatica" that is affecting your R leg.  The regular X-ray will not shoe nerve entrapment.  You can try Physical therapy and stretching with nsaids, but if you do not improve, you may need an MRI and follow-up with the Ortho.  Good luck.

See a doctor: The symptoms you describe suggest a problem in the nerve roots exiting the spinal column in the back. Is this a new problem? Are the symptoms on both sides. If so, the symptoms may indicate a serious problem. Please see your doctor for an evaluation.

Lumbar Muscle Spasm: If you  have a bulging disc at l-4/l-5 probably irritated a nerve by twisting, bending, lifting, etc. Now have spasm compressing the nerves.

i have lost lots of muscle mass, thighs have turned to jelly and loss of back muscles have caused scoliosis. lots of low back pain. constantly gaining weight though ny ideas what maybe going on?

: Not feasible to guess your diagnosis based on your post, but if progressive loss of strength and muscle bulk, would consider hyperthyroidism, inflammatory myositis, or even a motor neuron disease as some of the considerations.  Urge a second opinion from a neurologist who focuses in neuromuscular disorders.
