Variable : Most cases of elbow bursitis can be resolved with eliminating activities or positions that aggravate the bursa and reducing the inflammation (rest, ice, compression, elevation). Other more severe cases may require physical therapy, aspiration or steroid injection. Rarely is surgery required.

my son play high level hockey. his bursa sac was inflamed and he has been icing it. he just played a game and said the fluid is gone and his elbow hur?

Bursitis elbow: I assume you are talking about the bursa over the elbow which originally had fluid in it.

After the hockey game it sounds like the bursa sac ruptured. This would give pain and inflammation. If the elbow moves well and the patient can do a push-up easily, the bursa  simply released the fluid after trauma and the symptoms should go away quickly.. x-ray if the pain will not allow a push-up

i got a razor cut on my elbow,it bled for a while and then i cleaned it with water and soap. the razor was brand new and no body else has used it. i cleaned the wound with payodine. is there any risk for serious infection? or disease? what to do?

: No risk for serious infections in above circumstances. You did the right things. Given location, superficial infections and taking longer time to heal are to be expected, keep it covered and avoid pressure/ friction.

Irritated an injury: well you aggravated your original injury. The swelling is probably related to increased bleeding and bruising. Keep the area clean, watch carefully for fever, increased swelling. If situation does not improve shortly see your doctor.
