Can't tell: It amy persist for a few des. Topical arnica and oral gout kola can help heal  minor soft tissue injuries. If it persists or gets worse you can see doctor after several days, but these natural
 treatments often work.

skin on left forearm and upper part by shoulder sensitive to touch. it has a burning sensation even when not touched. not red no rash what could it be?

Nerve irritation?: Sounds like a nerve could be irritated. My main concern is if this could be an early sign of shingles. Sometimes there will be pain before the clustered blisters show up. Shingles affect a cutaneous nerve on one side of body, so pain and blisters usually extend from spine to midline on front of body. Any nerve, from head-to-toe col be affected. If blisters develop, I'd see a doc ASAP for antiviral

i woke with a stinging/ burning pain in my left inner forearm to wrist/ thumb.  it only hurts if i extend my arm out to the side, or stretch.

Nerves: May be carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel.  These are conditions where major nerves in your arm become "compressed" during sleep.  A nerve conduction study can be helpful.  You can buy a carpal tunnel splint to wear at night at the pharmacy, see if it helps, but do not delay in seeking care.

i fell on my left elbow 9 months ago. an x-ray showed no breaks. now there's a burning sensation, limited mobility, unable to lift, and shooting pain down my forearm. i can't sleep. now what?

Needs exam: With burning and shooting pain it sounds like a possible compressed nerve for which you need to make visit to your doc. Nerves can be affected in many areas and sometimes nerve conduction studies are performed to determine the exact cause whether the shooting pain is limited to your arm or arising higher i.E shoulder or neck. i have constant burning pain under left elbow on back of arm/forearm with all range of motion over a month. no injuries, swelling, or bruising. have a desk job, no lifting. what could it be & what would help?

Nerve pain: Sounds like nerve pain due to possible cubical tunnel syndrome. Physical therapy and nerve membrane stabilizers like gabapentin may be beneficial for this type of pain. However there are other causes that can present like this (i.e. - shingles)

Possibly a ganglion.: Ganglion cysts are swellings of the linings of the sheaths around the nerves or tendons, arising usually after some form of trauma (which might just be a sharp yank or twist).  They can get bigger and smaller as they fill and empty with fluid as part of the inflammatory response.  The pain comes from the space they take up.  They are seen with mri. If not this, have the nerves evaluated w/ emg.

: It is most likely coming from a nerve. It all depends on the location ie entire arm could be pinched nerve in neck or if in wrist could be the median nerve (the one that goes under carpal tunnel) . It would be unusual to have one sided with vitamin deficiencies or systemic diseases. If you injured area can cause that too. Hope this helps.
