Bupropion allergy: Bupropion  ( Wellbutrin for depression) Zyban for smoking cessation). Allergic reactions can include difficulty breathing, hives and swelling of face, lips, throat, mouth or tongue.

Of course: If the wellbutrin (bupropion) (WB) is for depression, drinking is likely to maintain the depression & interfere with the benefits of wb.  The risk of seizures is higher combining heavy drinking + wb.  Mixing WB with decongestants can cause agitation or anxiety.  General rule is not to mix multiple drugs whenever possible, including alcohol.

ive been prescribed wellbutrin sr 100mg x2 and am wondering on interactions i might expect to see with xyzal as i take that for allergies. is it safe to take them together or should i switch to something else for my allergies? thanks in advance.

Drug interactions: Per The Drugs.Com drug interaction checker there is possible drug interaction between Xyzal and Wellbutrin Sr-  "may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating."

i take prozac 20mg and wellbutrin (bupropion) xr 150mg once a day. is it safe to take claritin-d for my allergies while on these meds?

Yes: Taking claritin-d together with Prozac and wellbutrin (bupropion) xl should not be a problem. Take the claritin-d in the morning so the " d " won't affect your sleep

Could be a rash: Yes, you could have an allergy to the last thing you added, the garcinia.  How about stopping that and see if the rash clears.  If so, you have your answer.

Cannot say in your: particular case. Wellbutin w. phentermine is being evaluated as a diet pill combination. Probably safe. Does NOT interact well with all blood pressure meds. Clonapin is addicting and potentially a problem.

Not safely: Most sustained release tablets are made in layers to slow the release of drug.  Splitting them wd cause all of the drug to be released immediately.

There should be: no significant effects on cardiac conduction by Wellbutrin.

is it okay to take a xanax (alprazolam) periodically while on wellbutrin?

Accepted Answer

Probably, but: There is some concern that individuals who take xanax (alprazolam) regularly w/ wellbutrin & abruptly stop the xanax (alprazolam) may increase seizure risk (esp if there is a history of  seizures).  Also, wellbutrin may reduce the effectiveness of xanax (alprazolam).  Occasional use is probably not associated with any significant interactions.  However, consult your doc since he/she is knows your situation best.
