: I would not lose sleep over this incident. Baby is the size of a pea wrapped inside protective tissues and fluid. These cushions prevent any interference with the developmental progress that happens automatically. It's the alcohol or drugs I worry most about during this period-avoid them.

is it safe for a pregnant woman to ride in a car when she is 3 months pregnant! we are going to texas but will be stopping for break every 4 hours?

Travel: There is a risk for anyone who takes a long distance car ride of developing clots in their lower extremities . I highly suggest using support / compression hose , keeping the legs elevated if possible and stopping every 2 hours to walk around . Try to massage the calf . If Sny pain a swelling is noted , stop snd head to the closest ER . Good luck &amp; safe travel . Discuss this further with your OB

Too early : The baby is about the size of an ant at six weeks . Movement is felt around week 20. There are many medications available for nausea.

NO: Absolutely no reason to worry. Most miscarriages occur due to genetic/chromosomal abnormalities in the developing fetus. Severe physical trauma could cause a miscarriage but not a bumpy car ride.

is it safe to take a 10 hour car ride at 20 weeks pregnant with twins. last ultrasound was perfect, cervix 3.04cm (not sure if this is a concern but ob was happy with it). no pain. any risks to the pregnancy doing this? i wont be the one driving?

: This is likely okay. I would plan with the driver to stop and get out for a brief walk every few hours to keep your circulation moving/stretch your legs. Be sure to pre-plan what you would do if problems arise in route/where to go for care.

Yes and no: You won't hurt the pregnancy by the bumpiness of the road, but most doctors would recommend not riding motorcycles at all in pregnancy as a fall or crash could hurt you and the baby.  Same reason recommend staying off horses.  Most of the time you'd be fine, but why take that chance?
