my husband has bumps on both inner corner of the eye.  it does bother him. one side of these bumps are bigger than the other. should i be concerned?

Bumps near eye: If you mean that your husband has little blobs of tissue on his skin near his eye, they are likely blobs of fat made from cholesterol.  Please ask him to see  his doctor.  They are fairly common and do not need to be removed unless they bother the person w/them but the doctor will let you know.  Peace and good health.

Chalazion/hordeolum: Most often, this finding would be the result of a blocked and infected gland or hair follicle of the eyelid. Depending on the location, it could be called a chalazion or hordeolum (stye). Treatment with warm compresses will resolve many of these lesions. See an eye md if the bump is not resolved within a few days of using warm compresses, or anytime if it worsens. Some need to be drained with surg.

Bug bite: The bug that hit you probably had enough time to sting you.  This would cause an allergic reaction that may be very painful depending on the toxin. See your family dr. Initially.  If the swelling and pain increase significantly may have to go to er.

many possibilities: Including eczema, allergies, infection (bacterial, viral).  Needs an in person exam to get an accurate diagnosis.  Some viral infections need to be treated within the first 72 hours for better prognosis.

Examination: It's difficult to say without an examination. You are describing a rather large bump without any comment of pain, redness, drainage or eyelid swelling. If its dark yellow, it could be xanthalasma. It may also be a fatty protrusion, epidermal inclusion cyst, or other dermatological growth or lesion. Only an examination will confirm and treatment options rendered.

i have a little small little spot or bump of yellow colour on the skin of my eye from where the eye starts.it is completly harmless.never felt pain?

Pingueculua: You have discovered a normal feature of the eye surface next to the colored part.  You can have as many as four - one on each side of each eye.  They are a protective feature of the eyes against uv light, wind and dust.  They have that peculiar name, pinguecula.  They are harmless and will had as you grow older usually over 60.

: most likely could be a chalazion, stye, which is a blocked oil gland,  the best course is to apply a hot compress (wash cloth with hot water from a sink) until the rag is cool.  However, the best thing to do is to see an eye care professional.

Stye: If this occurred rather suddenly, it probably is a stye, which is a blocked oil gland of the eyelid. It can become secondarily infected and can spread to adjacent tissues leading to cellulitis. Most of these styes respond to very warm compresses 3-4 times/day for 10' followed by gentle massage with a washcloth containing a small amount of baby shampoo.  After a week, the stye should nearly resolve.
