Tongue bumps: These are likely your taste buds.  They are always there but become irritated if we get sick, burn our tongue, eat certain sour foods.  I would gargle/swish with warm salt water atleast 2-4 times a day.  Avoid spicy and sour foods for now.

Glossitis: This is what  is called inflammation of the tongue. It can be infection, nutritional deficiency and it woudl be wise to see dermatolgoy or ENT

See your doctor: You should see a doctor right away.  There are many causes for sore throat and some require treatment with antibiotics.  This includes strep throat and more rare conditions such as an abscess beside a tonsil.  Other causes of sore throat are viruses including mononucleosis.   A doctor can determine what kind of treatment is needed.  You could also get dehydrated if you aren't able to swallow.

Sleep apnea: Tongue scalloping (marks of teeth on the borders) is a useful clinical indicator of sleep pathology and its presence should prompt the physician to inquire about snoring history and polysomnography test-sleep study. Clenching your teeth also a cause for the tongue scalloping.

Papillae: The tongue's anatomy includes various types of papillae.  Papillae are very tiny little protrusions on the surface of the tongue.  On the back of the tongue the papillae look more like bumps.  It may be the normal anatomy of the tongue and you just never noticed.  If it is not, then get it checked out.

i have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.

See a Dentist & ENT: Please clarify your inquiry! towards the "back" of your tongue, that is near your throat,  you may be able to see by sticking your tongue out some papillae which are part of your taste sense near them in some people you may see some bright red bumps - lymphoid tissue: all normal and should not hurt unless you have irritated the area somehow or there is something else. See a dentist & an ent.

Normal?: Circumvallate papillae are dome-shaped structures on the human tongue that vary in number from eight to twelve.
If there is only one, is something else. See oral surgeon for exam.

See MD: If you have extremely painful lesions on your tongue it would be wise to have them checked.  May be viral or even canker sores but have them checked.

Normal: These may be part of the normal anatomy of your tongue.  These are part of the tonsils and help fight infections. Do not worry they have been there.  If you are concerned then see your dentist and have them checked.
