i have a very small bump an inch under my adams apple that moves when when i touch it. i've had blood work done and my thyroid levels came back normal

Delphian node: I'll bet that's what it is. Pretracheal nodes is the new name.  Everybody's got a few lymph nodes here, and occasionally on a trim person you can feel one or more of them. They're your friends. If it's not obviously abnormal, or if it gets really big or grows fast, the mass may need to be re-evaluated.

Some ideas: A thyroglossal duct cyst? Your hyoid bone? Any of a number of other possibilities. Show your physician on your next physical, or get it seen now if it's growing rapidly.

Accepted Answer

Yes: That is part of your larynx or "voice box" is should be in the enter of you neck at the upper 1/3. When you swallow it will rise then fall.

Maybe a cyst: Possibly a benign growth called a thyroglossal duct cyst.  Would have an ENT doc have a look at it.

Likely a lymph node: Bumps on the sides of the neck can be lymph nodes. If they are not tender, moveable, and not swollen or enlarging they are likely lymph nodes.  If any of the above symptoms are present, they should be evaluated by a physician.

i have a hard immovable bump on the left side of my windpipe slightly below my adams apple. i've noticed it for half a year. what could it be?

Your cricoid? Rumor?: I will bet this is your cricoid, perhaps with a little cartilage tumor attached. If it is new, get it seen -- these can be troublesome.

i have two small peanut size bumps above my adams apple. these bumps can be moved around slightly. do i have to worry about these or are they normal?

Nodes?: Most swollen glands or lumps under the skin are not cause for concern. The glands (lymph nodes) on either side of the neck, under the jaw, or behind the ears commonly swell when you have a cold or sore throat. More serious infections may cause the glands to enlarge and become very firm and tender.

If it gets bigger or you have fevers see a doctor. Try some ibuprofen in the meantime.

i have a tiny non-painful, movable bump on left side of neck (above adams apple). what can i do about this?

Not to worry: If it's not causing pain, and not very noticible, then you dont have to do anything about it. Just keep an eye on it, and if it enlarges, have it looked at by your doctor.

Lump on larynx: It may be a lymph node but  it should still be  checked out. Do you have  a lot of allergies?  sore throat ? May also be  related to thyroid gland so would f/u/ w/ doc

i am feeling a little bump in my throat, its in the upper right from my adams apple, it might be my lymph nodes that's swelling, should i worry?

Small lymphnodes ok: if it is just a small mobile lymph node I wouldn't worry about it.  they come and go whenever people get sick.  as long as it doesn't continue to grow or hard and matted I wouldn't worry.
