Symmetrical: Bony bumps without symptoms may be normal anatomical landmarks palpated by an untrained hands. Suggest examination by your primary care provider

i have a small, immobile, painless bone hard bump on the back of my skull slightly above where it connects to my spine. no eye probs. is this normal?

New or old: Is it new or old. If new and immobile then i consider getting an xray to look further in to it.

Teen cancer is rare: The normal hard lumps in the head and neck are bones, which are symmetrical (left side same as right side). A newly-found hard lump should be evaluated to see if it is bone, or more commonly a lymph node or a cyst. A lymph node on the back skull can fee like rubber bean. If worried, an ENT doctor can look at it, and advise on whether to watch it or remove it. If truly bone, a scan may be needed.

i want to ask can i had surgery to relieve a congenital bump at the top of the skull left side, and  is it possible to replace the bone with titanium ?

Time for consult: There are cranial surgeons that have experience reshaping a skull. You need to investigate a cranio-facial center in your region & check out their programs. Exams, specialized ct scans and a thorough discussions of the risks  & benefits of any procedure would be part of the process. It may or may not be what you want, but could be.

Unlikely: Bone cancer is rare, so it is likely not a cancer right out of the gate. Where is this lump, behind the ear? If so, it's likely normal anatomy (mastoid process). No skull is completely without irregularities, if you have symptoms such as pain, headaches, or increase in size would get it checked out, if not there's probably nothing to worry about.

Swelling: I'm assuming you didn't suffer blunt head injury recently. Go get this checked out at clinic with a physical exam. Depending on size next step is likely a scan of scalp and cranium (skull).

do you damage your back bone and skull if you sleep directly on the floor?

UNlikely: Are you comfortable on the floor? If so no worries if yes do not do it but in reality if there is a problem you would not be able to sleep or would be sore in the morning.

i have had pain at the back right side of my upper neck to the skull bone for 3 months now. not sure what could be causing this.

Sounds like muscle: spasm. Have you tried rubbing anything on it, or massage,or moist heat to area for 15 mins at a time several times a day?  Have you tried ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen) for pain?

abscess: Sounds like you have an infectious process such as an abscess.  Get medical attention.

bone on the top back of neck, right under skull.  it doesn't stick out, i can only feel it when i press in. what could this be?

Occipital Bone: That is called the occipital protuberance on the back side of the skull.  It is normal and almost everyone has this.  Unless it hurts, i wouldn't worry about it.
