this is shrinath from india.
recently i have developed a very mild soft bulge on the upper right abdomen (just below ribs). i have no pain and it disappears while sitting. i am 27 yr old, 5 feet 7 inches and 80 kgs. pl. help to diagnose?

Could be anything : May be a skin cyst but also could be a hernia.  Also could be some muscle problem (like rectus divarification) or something more serious like an enlarged liver of spleen. Will need an examination of your abdomen and may require tests such as bloods xrays and scans to sort out.  Please see a doctor.  All the best.

RUQ pain: Pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen  can come from a duodenal ulcer, gallbladder or even the lower part of the right lung. These symptoms require a careful history and physical examination by a physician (or pa, np) for accurate diagnosis. (this should include a rectal exam and testing for occult blood). Other testing may be required depending upon the examination.

im having a dull pain in upper right abdomen. i would say its maybe 2 inches or so above belly button to the right. dull pain comes and goes but feels extremely sore like a bruise if pressed on. doctor thinks gallbladder but im only 25. female?

: Gallbladder inflammation can be caused by a high fat diet, obesity and other risk factors. It is typically seen in older persons, but can occur in a younger person with risk factors. Imaging can help clarify the cause.

Gallbladder attack: 'right upper quadrant' pain with eating is a classic description of 'gallbladder attack'. An ultrasound is needed to check for gallstones which may be passing during an attack. If the ultrasound is normal you still may have 'gallbladder dysfunction' diagnosed with a hida scan. Either way is time to get seen by primary doctor to get these tests ordered. You may need surgery to prevent complications.
