Paresthesia usually arises from nerve damage due to infection, inflammation, trauma, or other abnormal process. Paresthesia is rarely due to life-threatening disorders, but it does occur as a result of stroke and tumors.

Sensation: that sensation you are having sounds like neuropathy.  A nerve is irritated in your scalp.  Look for a rash in the area, it may be shingles.  Many neuropathies resolve ( like when you hit your "funny bone"), if it persists for over a day, see your doctor.  If you are having any weakness in your arm or face or slurring words or balance issues, see a doctor now.

can bugs or parasites "nest" in your hair? something keeps twisting my hair layer by layer to my scalp. long hair last month.... now boy short. can comb out length but then it gets short again. my comb touched something that spins really fast. help!

Bed Bug: Bites are in areas exposed while sleeping-arms, shoulders, neck &amp; legs. The hair is not one of the more common places. But - yes, a secondary infection could be possible.

i see these tiny whitish, tan bugs that look like mites on my hair and scalp and body. whenever i feel them on my face or body i break out in a painful rash. what could this be?

Liver disease: Diffuse itchiness without a rash can sometimes he's a symptom of liver disease. If you have dark urine, yellow eyes or abdominal  swelling you should certainly see your doctor. It would not be unreasonable to see your doctor anyway to check your liver enzymes.

Cortisone cream: I would advise using a topical cortisone cream and keeping the scalp clean with a gentle shampoo. watch for signs of infection. Please follow up with your physician.
