my 3 yo got a bug bite a week ago. all that's left is two small red dots flush to the skin. should i be concerned? no redness around them.

Bug Bites: Although bug bites can be dramatic and even hurt when you get bit, most heal well as you describe.  You have looked for all the concerns  that would signal an infection, like surrounding redness or swelling.  It appears that this is healing well and it may take some time for the small red dots to completely resolve.

No particular bug: Bug bites are rarely unique to a specific insect.  Flea bites are small and have little clear vesicles and extreme itching but this is not unique to fleas either. This lesion could be a sting or a bite, it is impossible to say. Watch for signs of infection: pus, increasing pain, redness &amp; see doc if that happens. If numbness, tingling or severe pain,or fever, head to the ER. Tetanus shots current?

i have found a very small red dot on my side a little above my hip. it is tiny like a bug bite but it makes my whole side hurt like laying on it?

Skin lesion: A dermatologist's best tool are his eyeballs. If we can't see the lesion, there is no way we can make a diagnosis as accurately as we would prefer.  You absolutely must see a dermatologist to try to get any lead toward what this might be. It would be irresponsible to guess among the thousands of diagnoses which this could be.

i have a bug bite on my elbow and 4 days later there is a large purple ring around a small red dot. it is tender to the touch no fever. s/b concerned?

Skin infection: The bump you describe is likely an abscess, an infection caused once the skin barrier was compromised from the insect bite.  It should be evaluated by a physician to determine the appropriate course of treatment. A healthtap prime or concierge consult may also suffice.

Can't tell: Many bug bites give a similar reaction and thus there is no way to guess what that may be. If you live in tick-infested area, be sure that it is not from Lyme disease. See your doctor if you wish to find out.

Itchy spot: Could be many things as need a picture perhaps. Best to get examination. Could be eczema for a an example

See doctor: If you live in the Rocky Mountain or Southeastern part of the US, I would include Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever as part of the diagnosis.  Were you bitten by a tick? Do you have symptoms such as headaches, fever, chills etc?  If you do, go to see your doctor ASAP for treatment. If you feel good otherwise, you may adopt a wait-and-see stance.

Lymphangitis: Lymphangitis is a condition in which the lymphatic system has become infected (usually a streptococcal infection) , resulting in red streaks which form from the primary lesion.  Treatment consists of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication and pain management.

Any: Any insect bite that has red dots associated with it has shown what is called a "local inflammatory reaction" which is the body's normal response to the bite and is likely related to the insect's saliva or mild venom which may or may not be of concern.  If the area enlarges over 2-3 days, becomes painful (as opposed to itchy), starts to ooze, it may have become infected.  If so, seek care.

got a bug  bite and started scratching now i have red dots all under my skin. what is this?

Perhaps hives?: If they are itchy red dots then it could be an allergic reaction to the bug bite or even the mechanical pressure of you scratching.  Sometimes you can scratch so hard that you cause tiny little bruises under the skin.
