Superficial injury?: While a huge hematoma may seem like a big deal, it may not mean much if it is not painful. You could have caused bruise  by having a pressure sustained on your thigh causing microtrauma to the veins in the skin and the subcutaneous tissues .  Warm soaks or compress for 15 mins at a time  will help it disappear faster.

i have a bruise on upper thigh with itchy raised rash its a white rash not red. any ideas to what it could be?

See dermatologist: While my first thought is that this is a variety of lichen planus, you need to see a dermatologist for two reasons:  first is to ascertain the correct diagnosis.  Second: lichen planus may be associated with a number of underlying problems, including toxicity from medicines that you are taking and hepatitis C.  If this is, in fact, lichen planus, it is likely to clear with topical cortisone.

started taking escitalopram, and noticing bruises on upper thighs. not sure if it started before? from meds? or something else?

Possibly from meds.: Bruising can be a side effect of escitalopram but it is fairly rare.

noticed a 6 inch bruise on my upper thigh. like the ring of a toilet set. constipated last night but didn't think i was there that long. is that bad?

Bruise?: Constipation should not explain a bruise. You should go to your internist and get a good workup.

off and on hamstring pain for a year. this is the 6th "flare" with a bruise on my upper thigh. the pain is in the middle/bottom. strain or worse?

Investigation needed: It sounds like you may have a partially torn tendon which keeps giving you grief. See a physiotherapist or doctor who can arrange an Ultrasound scan of your thigh to determine the cause of pain. If the bruising is spontaneous then there may be further concerns of a bleeding into the muscle tissue and you may need blood tests to rule out a bleeding / clotting disorder

i have a raised large bruise on my upper thigh. the diameter is over an inch long. do i need to be concerned that it is a blood clot?

No: From what you described, it is not a blood clot, just a bruise from banging into something.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

i have a bruise on my upper thigh that keeps appearing and disappearing, what could this be?  i do have a stent in my heart but i am on no blood thinning medications?

Anticoagulant S/E?: Being on blood thinners predisposes you to easy bruising and bleeding into the tissues. So this is your new normal and there isn’t much you can or need to do about it

i fell in february of this year and got a really big bruise on my upper thigh. i can still see it slightly on my leg. i'm flying to the us in october. do i need to worry about the bruise and blood clots with such a long flight?

I wouldn't: It is quite common for bruise by-products--hemosiderin, etc--to remain visible in skin's superficial layers; it is HIGHLY unlikely that this affected or will affect the deep veins of the leg where worrisome blood clots develop. Flight precautions: walk around frequently in plane, stay WELL hydrated. Taking pre-flight aspirin and wearing compression stocking COULD be done, but probably to necessary

i have always bruised really easy with no blood disorders but a big bruise on my right upper thigh has a small lump under it.  is this normal?

Bruising: Bruising very easy at your age is not very common but can happen for many reasons including vitamin deficiency ie. Calcium, vitamin k etc. Low platelet count or coagulation factor deficit can cause easy bruising and are secondary to genetic disorders or liver disease. You will need further work up to make   diagnosis. The lump under is still coagulated blood or hematoma which will reabsorb also.
